PORIAT: Anjuna Gymkhana recorded a splendid comeback in the GFA U-14 League to edge past Goa United SA 3-2, at Poriat ground, on Thursday.
Goa United took two goals lead as K Nayak and Krish Kerkar netted to put them up 2-0 at half hour mark.
But Anjuna Gymkhana pulled a goal back just before the breather through Gajanan Kochrekar.
Crossing over, Anjuna Gymkhana played much better football and scored twice again as Gajanan completed his brace before Jagdish Arkasali scored the winner to give them 3-2 win.
At Ambelim Ground, Mufiz Mogal’s 19th minute strike helped Cana Benaulim pip Ave Maria SC 1-0.
At Quepem Ground, United Boys of Ambaulim and Tilamola United Sports
Club player out a thrilling 12-goal draw.
Lickson Rebelo scored five for United Boys of Ambaulim while Adrian Gomes netted the sixth for the team. For Tilamola United, Merick Peixoto and Daniel Fernandes netted a double each while Aryan Shaikh also scored two for Tilamola.
Youth Welfare Sports Club, Passagem- Assolna scored a thumping 5-1 win over Sarzora Sports Club at Dramapur Ground.
Vosky DaSilva netted fine treble while Aaron Dcosta and Thouky scored a goal each for the winning side. Alexander Alemao pulled a goal back for Sarzora Sports Club.
At Navelim Ground, Pinto’s Youth Club ran riot over United Club of Telaulim 13-0.
Tinon Fernandes scored a double hat-trick while Ariston Da Costa scored a treble. Bleston Simoes netted double and Dinon Rodrigues and Aaron Pinto scored a goal each for the winners.
In another match at Cavelossim Ground, Pax of Nagoa scored a fluent 2-0 win over Young Striker Benaulim. Morgan Da Cruz netted a brace for the winning team.
At Assonora Ground, Goan Warriors FC and Cunchelim SC played out a 1-1 draw. Zaid Khan scored for Goa Warriors while Raj Gosavi levelled terms for Cunchelim.
