CALANGUTE: Anjuna Gymkhana struggled past Raia Sporting Club by a 4-3 win in the Calangute Association Soccer Cup, organised by Calangute Association in collaboration with Village Panchayat, played at Poriat Recreation Center, Calangute, on Saturday.
In an enticing match both the teams restricted to midfield play and defended well until the end of the first half. Not letting the strikers of the rival teams to take advantage.
Post resumption it rained goals as Akshay Dabolkar, Nitesh Salgaocar, Dinesh Morajkar and Soma Korgaonkar scored for Anjuna Gymkhana.
Allwyn Dias, Melvin Gaonkar and Roman Gomes scored for Raia Sporting Club.
