PANJIM: Striker Anni’s first half hat-trick helped Dempo Sports Club cruise to a 14-goal win over MBBS Sports and Cultural Club in the Dream Sports Championship Goa Regional round at the Rosary College ground, Navelim, on Sunday.
He finished with five goals as eight of his other teammates also found the net.
Dempo SC skipper Nash Fernandes opened the scoring in the 13th minute, but Anni stole the show with goals in the 20th, 28th and 40th minute.
He added to his tally with goals in the 59th and 58th minute mark. Nigel Viegas scored two after coming off the bench, while Tanmay Kumar, Krutik Gaikwad, Kayden Mansley Faleiro, Ashon Vaz, Mohit Surlikar And Tejas Arun Kamat bagged a goal each.
In another match, FC Goa’s U-17 team were held to a 0-0 draw by Belgaum United Football Academy.
