MARGAO: Anshuman Agarwal has set up a title clash with Shantesh Mapsekar in Junior boys singles finals while Dheeraj Rai will clash with Sanmay Paranjpe in Men’s singles finals, in the 50th Golden Jubilee edition of the All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, organised by MCC Sports Club under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association(GTTA), at at MCC Krishna Karwarkar Hall , Margao.
In Junior boys singles semi finals, both Anshuman and Shantesh had it easy against their opponents. While Anshuman defeated Aadvik Panandikar 3-0, Shantesh put it across Jayz Gomes winning with an identical 3-0 margin.
In men’s singles semi-finals, Manish Yadav gave Dheeraj Rai a scare by grabbing two sets before the top seed prevailed to a 4-2 win, taking the 6th at 12-10.
In the other semis, Sanmay Paranjpe cruised past Anshuman Agarwal winning 4-1, though the young boy to his credit wrested one set from the India number 40, who has taken a transfer to Goa this season.
