RAIA: St. Francis Xavier, Sheldem, defeated SC Rumdamol 3-1 in a GFA Under-15 match at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
Shanio Noronha of Rumdamol missed a chance to score in the 8th minute. Sheldem hit back and Shawn Carvalho shot over the crossbar in the 10th minute.
Xeldem’s Francisco Dias netted the first goal in the 26th minute. Ten minutes later, Jolen Peixito scored the second for Rumdamol.
Sarvesh Goankar pulled a goal back for Rumdamol in the 53rd minute. However, Ishan Shaikhsarad netted the third for Xeldem in the 78th minute.
In another match at Navelim ground, Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Pinto’s YC, Baradi, 4-0. Aditya Thakur netted a goal in the 41st and Anslem Fernandes netted a hat-trick in the 61st, 80th and 81st minutes for Curtorim.
