PANJIM: Half centuries by Anup Kolambkar and Durgesh Prabhugaokar guided Mashem Cricket Club to register a 110 runs victory over Polem Cricket Club and qualify in the Elite Group of the 34th Nanda J. Lolyekar cricket tournament held at Nirakar Maidan Dapot, Mashem-Canacona, on Sunday.
Mashem CC won the toss and elected to bat scoring 258 runs losing eight wickets in allotted 35 overs.
Anup 66 and Durgesh 51 were the highest run getters while Sachin Naik got 34. Ram Dhuri 3/39, Meharaj Khan 2/11, Rahul Borkar, Manjunath Vantamuri and Gajanan Azgaokar took one wicket each.
In reply, Polem CC managed to score 148 runs losing all wickets in 21.2 overs. Meharaj Khan 57 and Rahul Borkar 28 got the highest runs. Shaumik Kolambkar 3/24, Tushar sawant 2/30, Vinesh Satarkar and Anup Kolambkar one wicket each.
Nayal Borim has already qualified from the other group.
