PEDDEM: Goa’s Anura Prabhu Desai got off to a blazing start on her home turf, registering a comfortable 21-15, 21-11 win over Anuprabha R. to sail into the round of 32, at the senior all India badminton ranking tournament, at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa.
Joining her there was Anjana Kumari, who cruised to a facile 21-17 21-5 in over Rhythm Kukreja. Another Goan in the main draw, Anar Singbal succumbed to a 21-12, 21-10 loss to Assam’s Chimran Kalita.
