CALANGUTE: Holy Cross Sports Club, Arambol edged past Sangolda Lightning Club 6-4 via the tie-breaker to move into semi-finals of 10th Anjuna-Caisua Village Panchayat Cup All-Goa inter-village football tournament organized by Chapora Yuvak Sangh at Chapora ground, Monday. The teams were locked 2-2 at full time.
Arambol took an early lead in the very third minute through Jason Fernandes. Sangolda fought back and leveled through Tanmay Rane in the 25th minute.
Changing over, Sunny D’Souza scored the second for Arambol while Yogesh Mayekar restored parity for Sangolda in the 63rd minute.
Arambol proved better shooters as Amit Fernandes, Antonio Rodrigues, Sunny and Vithal Kinlekar scored from the spot-kick while Agnelo Quadros and Yogesh converted for Sangolda.
