SERAULIM: Sao Jose de Areal got the better of Tilamol United SC, 6-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Village Panchayat Seraulim Cup, at Seraulim ground, on Thursday.
In the 21st minute, Areal netted the first through Nevil Soares with a placement shot to beat the rival keeper. Jovito Carvalho netted the second in the 24th minute.
Tilamol came from behind and scored two quick goals which came from Leo Fernandes’ brace in the 52nd and 54th minute. In the tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal proved to be better shooters. They will now meet the winners of Chandor club and SCC Loutoulim in the quarter-finals.
