RAIA: Arlem Youth Association defeated Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 1-0 to move into the final of Arlem Trophy, at Raia ground, on Saturday.
In the 15th minute Arlem striker Lloyd Cardozo got an easy chance to score but he missed the Don Bosco net by whiskers.
At the other end, Don Bosco’s Francis Andrade should have scored the goal but his move was tackled by the rival defender Socky Cardozo.
Later, Arlem’s Oilex Oliveira took a shot at the goal but the strike hit the Don Bosco post and went out of play in the 26th minute.
Minutes later, Don Bosco striker Francis Andrade took control of the ball from Joel Colaco and dribbled past a couple of defenders and shot but Socky Cardozo of Arlem made a goal line clearance to keep the scores levelled.
In the second half, Arlem coach Cosme Oliveira brought in Danny Fernandes who gave them the lead.
Danny Fernandes netted the first goal of the match for Arlem Youth Association with a placement shot off Veliton Fernandes’ connect in the 49th minute.
Arlem Youth Association will meet the winners of Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna and Nuvem SC in the final on May 20.
