PANJIM: Arnav Deshmukh won the U-16 TRI KIDS GOA- the kids triathlon, organised by Enduro Sports Goa, at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa on Sunday.
Arnav clocked 40 mins 23 sec completing the swimming, cycling and running task to finish as the winner followed by Yuvraj VN, who clocked 40 mins 44 secs. Ananya Mukherjee came third with a timing of 42mins 46 secs.
The race was flagged off by Brigadier Sunil Agarwal, Commandant, 2STC Bambolim Goa
In the U-14 category, Saish Chougule emerged champion setting a timing if 30 mins 51 secs. Johann Pinto bagged second place while Sachin CM settled for bronze.
In the U-11 category, John Willocks came first with a timing of 20 mins 20 secs. Ethan Pinto and Keith Costa bagged second and third place respectively.
In the age group of 6-9 years, Jeeth Deepak Sai won the event, while Kyle Gasper and Arnav Nama settled for second and third place respectively.
Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
