MAPUSA: Arpora Sporting Club registered a thumping 8-0 win over Laxmi Prasad Sports Club in the GFA’s U14 League played at Duler Stadium, here on Wednesday.
Arpora’s Soham Nagvekar did most of the damage as he slammed five goals in Wednesday’s encounter.
At the breather Arpora were leading 3-0.
In the 7th minute Soham Nagvekar collected a pass from Preston Dias placed the ball into the far corner of the rival goal, 1-0.
Soham doubled the lead in the 14th minute as he connected a volley from a cross by Sahil Hoble, 2-0.
A couple of minutes before the breather, Sahil Hoble who was instrumental in the second goal saw him net the third goal from an assist by Videsh Agarwadekar, 3-0.
On crossing over a long ball by Dhrur was collected by Atharv Ghadi, who dribbled past a host of Laxmi Prasad defenders and beat the onrushing keeper with a placement, 4-0.
As the match progressed, Soham Nagvekar pumped in three more goals while Dhrur Kerkar added his name to the scorers list to complete the rout.
