Arpora Sporting Club registered an easy 2-0 win over PVC, Parra to move into the quarter-finals of Anjuna Caisua Village Panchayat Cup soccer 2009 organised by Anjuna Gymkhana at Tembi ground, Anjuna, on Tuesday. Arpora led 2-0 at the breather.
After much probing, Arpora opened the scoring in the 18th minute, when Alaster Lobo made full use of a defensive lapse from the Parra defence.
German Fernandes made it 2-0 when he headed home a cross from Premnath Gadekar.
Crossing over, the young Parra side tried their best to reduce the deficit. However, their strikers ran out of ideas upon reaching the rival goal area.
