MAPUSA: Take it Easy Boys of Arradi registered a hard fought 2-1 win over Saipem SC in the inaugural match of 8th Candolim Interward football tournament at Dr.Gustavo Monteiro ground, here on Monday.
Saipem had two chances to take the lead but their strikers failed.
In the 15th minute Arradi forged ahead when Vicky gave the finishing touches to Krishna’s low cross. Just five minutes later Vicky netted his brace as he lobbed the ball over the onrushing Saipem custodian.
On crossing over, Saipem went all out and managed to pull a goal back in the 50th minute. Paul Cardozo sent a pinpointed cross to Mahadev Bandodkar who guided the ball into the goal. Francis Fernandes (Zappa) kicked off the match.
