The two matches are now postponed to September.
A match each was supposed to be played in Goa, at the Nehru Stadium, in Fatorda and The Cooperage, in Mumbai where former stars Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Thierry Henry and Robert Pires could have rekindled old rivalry in the Indian sub-continent.
The Indo Global Foundation are organizing the mega event in association with the Western India Football Association (WIFA) and the Goa Football Association (GFA).
“The organizers have issued us a letter saying that the event is postponed to September,” confirmed Henry Menezes, CEO of WIFA from Mumbai, on Thursday.
Sourav Chakravarthi of Indo Global Foundation was not available for comments when Herald tried to contact him.
