PANJIM: Arundhati Vishwajit Rane has been selected to represent the state team at the 63rd National School Games in the Roller Skating discipline. She was selected after winning the 1st place in the 1500m road race and third place in the 1000m rink race at the recently concluded Roller Skating State Championship held in Porvorim.
Arundhati is a student of class 8 at Sharada Mandir School, Miramar and has been skating for the past 6 years at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim under the guidance of Gareth Vaz.
The skating sensation chose roller skating as a sport for its adrenaline and fun element. She is also a part of the School girls’ football team and the throw-ball team loves horse-riding and is a member of the Amateur Rider’s Club, Mumbai.
