PANCHWADI: Assolda Veterans defeated Chinchinim Veterans 4-2 via the tie-breaker and sealed their place in the final of the St Anthony’s Veterans Panchwadi Cup, at Mapa Panchwadi green field ground, on Thursday.
Vishant Pednekar scored the first for Assolda Veterans in the 10th minute. But the joy was short-lived as Presley equalised for Chinchinim Veterans in the 14th minute. The scores remained 1-1 till the final whistle. In the tie-breaker, Vishant, Pascoal and Shaik Abu scored for Assolda Veterans while only Inacio netted for Chinchinim.
