QUEPEM: Assolda Veterans defeated Curtorim Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of the 5th All-Goa Veterans football rolling cup, organised by Navyug Vikas Manch, at Borrimol Sport Complex ground, Quepem, on Saturday.
Both the teams played attacking football.
In the 15th minute Assolda Veterans Domaciano brilliantly defended the goal line and saved Sebastiao Fernandes goalbound shot.
Curtorim Veterans Anthony shot should have recorded his name on the score sheet but was denied by keeper Anil of Assolda.
At the end of normal time both the teams were locked in a goalless draw.
In the ensuing tie-breaker Assolda Veterans scored through Agnelo, Micheal, Custodio, Claudin and Jose while Roque, Oliver, Seby and Alex converted for Curtorim Veterans.
