Sao Jose de Areal: Assolda Veterans defeated Sao Jose de Areal by 1-0 to move into the final of the 2nd Assolda Veterans football tournament played at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Tuesday.
In an interesting semi-final encounter both the teams fought hard to get the goal which would take them into the final.
However the defence of either of the teams was resilient and stubborn to let the ball slip through.
At the end of the first half the scores were leveled at 0-0.
Post resumption with renewed energy Assolda Veterans made a move towards the rival goal and were sucessful to find the breakthrough as the winning goal was scored by Krishna Shirodkar for Assolda in the 46th minute.
