CARMONA: Assolna Veterans shot-out Bardez Veterans 3-1 in the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Carmona Veterans football tournament, organised by Janot Veterans, at Carmona panchyat ground, on Saturday.
In the sixth minute, Bruno Coutinho’s powerful shot was blocked by the goal keeper of Assolna Veterans.
Assolna’s Vishant Pednekar missed an easy opportunity to take the lead in the 48th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Assolna Veterans proved to be better shooters.
Man-of-the-match was awarded to Allwyn Fernandes of Bardez Veterans.
