MAPUSA: Assonora United Football Club made it to the semifinal of the Augustias inter-village soccer with a 3-0 win over Goa Velha Sports Club held at Pomburpa ground, here, on Monday.
Sarvesh Chari of Assonora put their team ahead with a fine placement.
Just at the start of the second half, Prajot Arabekar’s short from inside the penalty area was well saved by the Goa Velha keeper Pratik Kankonkar.
Sarvesh Chari doubled the lead as he scored from a fine pass from Dhaku Goankar. Samyak Salkar made it 3-0.
Assonora United Football Club will now meet Sinquirim Sports Club in the semisfinal.
Sarvesh Chari was declared man-of-the-match and the trophy was presented by Shailesh Kawlekar.
