MAPUSA: PVC Parra went down fighting by a 2-3 margin to Assonora United Sports Club in the Anjuna Gymkhana soccer Cup organized by Anjuna Gymkhana at Tembi grounds, here, on Tuesday.
Parra, who went into halftime with a 2-1 goal advantage, broke the deadlock in the very 2nd minute of play through Felix, whose long floater dipped into the Assonora goal, 1-0.
Moses doubled the lead for Parra in the 20th minute when on being set up by Felix, he tapped the ball home, 2-0. Minutes before halftime, Assonora managed to reduce the margin through Floyd, who on getting hold of the ball from Prajot, coolly slotted the ball into the Parra nylons.
Changing end Assonora came with two quick goals through Projot and Lester, to finish of the match with a 3-2 margin.
