MAPUSA: Clube Athletico de Parra equalized in the dying minutes to settle for a 1-1 draw against Valpoi Football Club in GFA’s Second Division football league match (Bardez zone) at Sangolda ground, here, Monday.
After a barren first half, Mansoor Khan broke the deadlock for Valpoi but Parra came up with a late equalizer through Abijit Salgaonkar.

As the match progressed, Parra controlled the proceedings but their midfield lacked creativity.
Crossing over, Valpoi broke the deadlock when Gulrez Khan skilfully muscled past his marker and put Mansoor through on goal and the latter cleverly chipped the ball over the onrushing rival keeper.
Valpoi almost doubled their lead in the 72nd minute but Mansoor was unlucky this time with his chip shot which hit the side-netting.
Parra went all-out in the final quarter and found the elusive equalizer late into the tie as Abhijit punished a goalkeeping lapse.
