Augustias SC ease past YSC Colvale; Chapora Yuvak Sangh, Rumdamol SC win

PANJIM: Augustias Sports Club scored a thrilling 3-2 win over Youth Sports Club Colvale in the Goa Football Association Third Division League at Assonora ground, on Tuesday.
Augustias took 30 minutes to break the deadlock and Akash Uskhar scored the first in the 34th minute. The first half score remained 1-0 in favour of Augustias.
In the second half, Youth Sports Club Colvale made it all square through Sattyam Gawas who converted from the penalty spot after referee awarded them a penalty for bringing down their player in the box.
But Augustias responded quickly with a goal in the 68th minute through Charnel Fernandes and Mohamad scored the third in the 85th minute. Youth Sports Club Colvale kept pressing till the final whistle and managed to pull a goal back through Anford Fernandes.
Meanwhile, at Chapora ground, Marvoti Horizon scored a fine-hat-trick for Chapora Yuvak Sangh against Sai Avtar SC in their 6-0 win.
The one-sided affair saw Pundalik Madgaonkar score first in the 10th minute.
Chapora were clearly the better side in the opening 45 minutes. Marvoti Horizon was up on the mark from the word go but was able to get his name on the scoresheet only in the 30th minute.
Chapora doubled the account through Pundalik who completed his brace netting from the penalty spot in the 36th minute. Chapora YS led 3-0 at the break.
Crossing over, Chapora continued their dominance and smashed in three more goals through Nehal Parsekar and Marvoti Horizon, who scored two to complete his treble.
At Cavelossim ground, United Club of Orlim scored a fluent 4-0 win over Ambelim Sports Club. The winners led 3-0 at the break, with the goals coming from Ajay Sapre, Floyd Luis and Aleeward Mascarenhas. Robinson Colaco scored the fourth for the winning team in the second half.
At Tilamola ground, Chandor Club recorded a solitary goal win over Macasana Welfare Club. Mario Noronha scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute after Macasana were reduced to 10 men following the expulsion of Aggison Vaz for second booking.
Meanwhile at Mandopa ground, a fine brace from Maktum Khan helped Rumdamol SC score a 4-1 win over ST Sebastian YC.
St Sebastian SC were first to score in the 4th minute through Franjoy Furtado  but Maktum levelled terms in the 16th minute and doubled the account in the 39th minute. In the second half, Rumdamol SC scored two more goals through Rohan Bhonsle and Jovito D’Costa.
At Dando ground, Benaulim, St Anthony’s Colva registered a hard-fought 2-1 win over St Rock Youth Club, Calata-Majorda. Malik Togai scored a brace for the winning side while Joel Tavares netted an own goal to reduce the deficit for the losing side.
At Poriat ground, Adarsh Yuvak Sangh downed United Club of Nerul 3-0. Sandesh Chopdekar scored a fine hat-trick for the winning side.
