SANQUELIM: Augustias Sporting Club, Pomburpa got the better of Mardol United 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd late Musa Ali Aga memorial football tournament organised by Eagles SC, at Sanquelim ground, on Tuesday.
In the seventh minute, Shelom Rebello scored for Augustias SC with arrow bound shot but the joy was short-lived as Bhupesh Kerkar equalised for Mardol in the 25th minute. Both the teams missed several chances.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the tie breaker Shelom Rebello, Sonu Haldankar, Raju Sadashi, Melroy Rodrigues, Umesh Potdar and Siddhesh Palkar scored for Augustias SC Pomburpha while Bhupesh Kerkar, Cladis Godino, Ruston Vaz and Gauresh Sawal scored for Mardol United.
Augustias SC, Pomburpa will now meet the winners of AYA, Raia and Varca SC in the quarter-finals on May 16.
