FATORDA: Auxilium High School, Benaulim downed Government Multipurpose High School, Borda 3-1 to move into the next round of the U-14 Subroto Mukherjee boys football tournament organised by DSYA, at Artificial turf, Fatorda, on Friday.
Deepak Naik netted a brace in the 16th and 34th minutes for Auxilium while Mark D’Costa netted a goal for Auxilium in the 41st minute.
Javid Degeri pulled a goal back in the 22nd minute for Government Multipurpose HS.
In another match, Assumpta Convent High School, Sarzora blanked St Xavier’s HS, Velim 2-0.
Alexander Alemao netted a brace for Assumpta Convent.
In the last match, Our Lady of Succour HS, Nagoa got the better of Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal 4-1 via the tie-breaker.
