CHICALIM: The Community Outreach Program of Salgaocar FC by GFA members Adlear D Cruz and Francisco Nunes brought down the curtains on the Baby League Football (Mormugao Zone) with the final round of matches, at the Panchayat ground, Chicalim.
Salgaocar FC beat Regina Mundi Football Academy by a solitary goal in the 10 years age group. Aadhesh scored the all important goal for Salgaocar. Later in another match Just for Kix Football Academy also beat Ace Football Academy by a solitary goal scored by Soham.
In the 8-years age group matches, Salgaocar FC and Ace Football Academy played out a goalless draw and Just for Kix Football Academy drew with Regina Mundi Football Academy.
A total of 89 children took part in the 40 baby league matches from November 25 to March 3.
After the baby League matches and to motivate women, an exhibition women’s match for the baby League participants’ mothers was held.
