MAPUSA: Bicholim Association of Football Fans (BAFF) held their nerves in the penalty shoot-out to edge out Pilerne Sports Club 8-7 and enter the semi-finals of GFA’s Third Division League, Bardez Zone play-offs, at Duler Stadium, here, on Sunday.
Pilerne Sports Club were at their attacking best playing the first 10 minutes at great pace.
However, BAFF broke the deadlock in the 35th minute through a superb left footer from Gopal Mandrekar from 30 yards out 1-0.
Pilerne Sports Club equalized in the 86th minute through Ryan Pereira of a curling free-kick by Jonathan Carrdoz.
In the exciting penalty shoot out BAFF emerged winners 8-7.
