PANJIM: Bal Bharti Vidhya Mandir, Ribandar registered a eight wicket win over Peoples High School, Panjim in the U-14 Goa Cricket Association President’s Cup, held at Campal ground, on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, Peoples HS were bowled out for 71 in 24.2 overs. Pratham Amonkar (10) and Zishan Khan (17) were only two batsmen to score double figures. Rajesh Kabbir (12/3) and Bhavan Poojary (10/3) were the pick of Ribandar school.
In reply, Bal Bharti chased down the target losing just two wickets in just 17 overs. Danish Sayed (19) was the top scorer for the winners.
