PANJIM: Bambino Dias emerged as the outstanding athlete at the Sports Journalists Association of Goa (SJAG) Media Badminton and Table Tennis Tournaments organised in collaboration with SAG, Goa Badminton Association, Panjim Badminton Club and Panjim Table Tennis Club securing two gold, a silver and one bronze at indoor stadium, Campal, here recently. .
Sachin Chatte won a gold and a silver; Savio Noronha a gold and a bronze and Trisha Naik a gold.
Results: Badminton – winner men’s singles Bambino Dias. Runner-up Sachin Chatte. Third place Akhil Sawant and Amresh Parab. Men’s doubles: winners – Bambino Dias and Sachin Chatte. Runners-up Amresh Parab and Hemant Parab. Third place Akhil Sawant and Vijay Kamble and Subhashish Govekar and Vincent Rosario. Women’s singles – winner Trisha Naik. Runner-up Prachi Gaonkar. Third place Shrishti Athanikar and Manisha Jadhav.
