PANJIM: Bardez Veterans sailed into the semi-finals of the 7th All Goa Panjim Veterans Soccer Tournament, defeating arch rivals Candolim Veterans 3-0, played at Taleigao ground, on Tuesday.
Bardez striker Alwyn Fernandes scored an open header from a cross from former Dempo player Pascoal Pereira. The winners led 1-0 at the break.
In the Second half, Bardez increased the lead through Pascoal Pereira. Bardez Pascoal Pereira once again took scored to net his brace after being set-up by Augustine. Geneviva Fernandes of Candolim Veterans was awarded man-of-the-match.
