DRAMAPUR: Bardez Veterans edged past Excel Rovers Loutolim 3-2 and moved into the quarter-finals of the St. Joseph Veterans football festival tournament, organised by Dramapur Veterans, at Dramapur ground, on Saturday.
Bruno Coutinho opened the score-line for Bardez Veterans in the 10th minute but it didn’t take long for Excel Rovers to equalise as Pele Xavier equalised in the 21st minute.
Bardez Veterans doubled the lead through Shailesh Miskin in the 36th minute.
Two minutes later, Cajie Fernandes levelled terms for Excel Rovers Loutolim.
As the match progressed, it was Shailesh Miskin who scored the match-winner for Bardez Veterans in the 50th minute.
