Bengaluru FC qualify for final round

The winners struck once in each session with Amay Morajkar giving BFC the lead in the 11th minute while Lalrintluanga Chawnglut made it 2-0 in the 65th minute.
Bengaluru who needed just a point to make it to the next round played their hearts out and secured full three points.
The visitors broke the deadlock in the 11th minute of play when Amay curled his freekick from the top of the 18-yard box to the far corner of the Dempo goal, 1-0.
Crossing over BFC retained ball possession and managed to double the lead in the 65th minute of play when Lalrintluanga’s long range effort had no answer from the Dempo custodian.
Speaking to the media after the match John Kila said: “I am very happy with the performance of these boys. We’ve had little time to prepare but they’ve gelled well together and the results are there for all to see. We are excited to have made it through to the final round but it’s going to be tougher and there’s a lot of work to be done.”
The final rounds of the U16 Y-League are scheduled to begin in January.
