SERAULIM: Parish Priest of Seraulim Fr Benjamin Sacramafilia and Yigael Gomes emerged champions in the men’s singles and ladies singles table tennis tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim, at the club premises.
In the men’s singles, Fr Benjamin fought hard to beat Sandeep Shanke 8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-8 and 11-9 in an exciting five-set game.
In the ladies singles, Yigael Gomes got the better of Zorah D’Souza 11-6, 11-9 & 11-8.
In the men’s doubles, Sandeep Shanke partnering his brother Sunil Shanke beat Samuel & Ezekiel Gomes 11-8, 11-9, 9-11 & 11-6.
Fr. Nixon Gomes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
