CHAPORA: Benny XI scored a narrow 2-1 win over Goan Warriors Sports Club in the GFA’s 3rd Division League-Bardez Zone match played at Chapora ground, on Wednesday.
Goan Warriors SC shot into lead in the 33rd minute through Chandan Govekar but the joy was short lived as Oswin equalised in the 41st minute.
Post resumption, Movil Almeida scored the match winner for Benny XI in the 75th minute.
Elsewhere at Nachinola ground, St Sebastian SC triumphed over YSC Colvale in a neck-to-neck encounter. Dwayne Ticlo was the hero for the winning side as he scored a hat-trick while Shalom Rebello also added his name on the scoresheet.
Stephen Martins scored a first-half brace while Amar scored a goal in the 64th minute to make it 3-4.
In another match, ABC Arambol defeated Sai Avatar Sports Club 4-1. Russel Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Mauel Rodrigues netted the fourth for the Arambol side.
Krishna pulled a goal back for Anjuna.
At Nerul ground, Nerul Sports Club thumped United Club Nerul 4-1.
