MAPUSA: Benny XI SC managed to scrape past YSC Colvale by 2-1 margin in the GFA’s Second Division League match played at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Tuesday.
Both teams played almost on equal footing, where finally in the 38th minute, Samuel sent a delightful cross to well-positioned Edwin Viegas, who nodded the ball into the far corner of the goal 1-0.
In the added time of the first session, Mohammad Aga levelled terms for YSC Colvale, scoring from inside the 18-yard box, 1-1.
Just five minutes into the second session, Benny XI scored the match winning goal once again from a gentle tap into the goal by Edwin Viegas off a cross from Samuel, 2-1.
