CHINCHINIM: Betalbatim SC got the better of Dicarpale SC 6-4 via the tiebreaker to move into the finals of the Union of Chinchinim Villagers 8-a-side inter-village football tournament, at Our Lady of Hope ground Chinchinim, on Wednesday.
Betalbatim SC through Klinsman Pereira took a long ranger shot in the very 2nd minute of play but Dicarpale SC goalkeeper saved it.
Thereafter in the 6th minute Bonny Niasso of DicarpaleSC took a shot at the rival goal which went wide.
Betalbatim SC took the lead through Klinsman Pereira as he converted a spot kick in the 20th minute
Betalbatim SC joy was short lived as within five minutes Bonny Niasso scored to equalise for Dicarpale SC.
In the second half Agnelo Colaco doubled the lead for Dicarpale SC in the 40th minute. The 60th minute saw Klinsman level terms for Betalbatim SC.
In the resultant tie-breaker Betalbatim SC proved to better shooters as Austin Fernandes, Klusner Pereira, Princeton Rebello and Melroy Costa netted for Betalbatim SC, while Bonny Niasso and Milton Rocha coverted for Dicarpale SC.
