PANJIM: Betalbatim Sporting Club and Rossman Cruz Nagoa, Verna registered narrow wins in their respective encounters in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match played on Monday.
Benfica Youth Club failed to record a single point as they were beaten by Wencelaus Antao’s 55th minute strike which proved to be the ultimate match winner for the Betalbatim team at Village Panchayat ground, Chicalim.
Once Betalbatim SC were up by a goal they defended resolutely till the final whistle thus frustrating the rival camp and walking away with three points.
In the second game, at Cansaulim ground, Bakka Adithya’s 17th minute strike separated the Rossman Cruz and Verna Cultural and Sports Club.
