Betalbatim Sports Club scored a narrow 2-1 win over Carmona Sports Club in St Rock’s Super Soccer in memory of Nazario Dias, organised by St Rock Youth Club, at Calata, Majorda, on Tuesday.
Betalbatim went into the lead in the 8th minute through Denzil Rogtao. Betalbatim doubled the lead in the 20th minute through a self goal by James Barretto.
Carmona reduced the margin through Preston D’Sa.
The following prizes were awarded: Best half – Preston. Man-of-the-match – Joe Fernandes.
Roy Fernandes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.

MARGAO, JAN 2 A fine hat-trick by striker Jose Fernandes helped Betalbatim SC to blank host Sporting Club of Davorlim 3-1 and move into the quarters of John Raikar memorial football tournament at Davorlim panchayat grounds on Friday.
