Bhakti on ninth position

PANJIM: WGM Bhakti Kulkarni is on ninth position with 6.5 points after the ninth round of XXVII National under-9 boys and girls chess championship 2013 being played at Chennai, Wednesday.

PANJIM: WGM Bhakti Kulkarni is on ninth position with 6.5 points after the ninth round of XXVII National under-9 boys and girls chess championship 2013 being played at Chennai, Wednesday.
She drew her eight game with WGM Kiran Mohata of Odissa and won against Pratyusha Bodda of AP in the ninth round.  Aishwarya Thorat is on four points, Fernandes Krystal and Supriya Shanbag are on 3.5 points each.  WGM Gomes Mary Ann is leading with 7.5 points.
In the boys section, Leon Mendonca has secured seven points at the end of ninth round.  He won against Rudranarayan of Oddisa and Alok Sinha of Delhi in the eight and ninth round respectively and will play with Arpan Das of WB in the 10th round. 
He is on second position along with seven other players namely: G. Madhavan (5.5 pts), Vraj Parab (5 pts), Sahil Dessai (4.5 pts), Barde Om (4 pts), Sanjay Thorat and Shanbag (3.5 pts) and Jugan Rodrigues (2.5 pts)
FM Praggnanandhaa R of Tamil Nadu, Nihal Sarin of Kerala,  Dhanush Bharadwaj of Kerala and Aryan Shah of Maharashtra are leading with 7.5 points each.
In the girls section, Gunjal Chopdekar, and Alaina Pereira are on 6.5 points each.  Chopdekar beat Hetvi Pethod of Maharashtra and drew with Garima Gaurav of Bihar. 
Aliana defeated Niranjana Das of AP and drew with David Avril of Maharashtra. Vranda is on 5.5 points. She won against Ishita Kothari of Chhattisgarh and Boramanikar Tanisha of Maharashtra. 
Sanvi Naik, Gaonkar Shambhavi and Tanvi Hadkonkar are on five points. Aliya D’Cruz and Mayuri Chari are on four points each. Divya Deshmukh of Maharashtra is leading with eight points.
