SANGUEM: Bhatikar Model High School, Margao won by 8 wickets against Sarvodaya High School in the U-16 Dilip Sardesai South Zone final played at Goa Cricket Academy ground, Sanguem, on Tuesday.
Sarvodaya won the toss and elected to bat. They were bundled out for 62 with Aniket Rivankar being the top scorer of the innings with just 18 runs followed by Deepak Patil(12).
The Bhatikar bowler put up an excellent performance to restrict their opponents. Say Naike scalped 4 wickets while Shubham Ghajinkar, Kaushal Hatangadi and Shrey Singh picked up 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bhatikar chased down the target in 15 overs for the loss of 2 wickets with Sanat Neugi(19 not out) and Devan Chittam (16 not out) helping with chase.
Bhatikar HS will now face Saraswat HS in the State final at GCA ground, Porvorim on April 20.
