RUMBA-CURTORIM: Bhatti Sports Club thumped Agxem Sports Club 5-0 to lift the Rumba United Cup organised by Rumba United, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
Marcus Peixoto opened the account for Bhati in the 12th minute.
Later in the second half, Macanzie doubled the lead in the 48th minute for Bhati followed by Andrew Barretto who scored a brace in the 51st and 56th minutes, while Jovil Dias netted a goal for Bhatti in the 60th minute.
Alexio Reginald Lourenco MLA of Curtorim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Sarpanch of Curtorim Rui Menezes and other dignitaries.
Individual prizes: Best goalkeeper: Mario Barretto (Bhatti), First goal of the final: Marcus Peixoto (Bhatti), Best defender of the final: Aron (Bhatti), Man-of-the-match: Andrew Barretto (Bhatti), Golden Boot: Andrew Barretto (Bhatti), Best discipline team: Bandol.
