MAPUSA: Sodiem Siolim SC drubbed Holy Cross, Arambol, 4-1 in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone played at Vagator PYSC ground, here, on Friday.
The teams went into the breather locked in a 1-1 draw. Anesh Haldankar put Sodiem unit ahead in the 34th minute of play only to find Arambol colts level terms in the 46th minute through Allwin D’Souza 1-1.
On crossing over Sodiem Siolim pinned their opponents inside their own territory and pumped in three goals through Sheldon Furtado, Angelo Fernandes and Devesh Vernekar, 4-1.
At Duler stadium, Sangolda Lightning SC continued on their winning run as they walked past United Club of Nerul by 3-0 margin. Arun Naik, Tarak Khandolkar and Sanial Oliveira scored for the winners.
At Moira ground, Sesa FA and Ucassim SC were locked in a goalless draw.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem, Valpoi FC trounced Siddeshwar SC by 8-0 margin. Valpoi colts struck four goals in each session of play. Kavya Katkar (2), Sujeet Gaonkar and Zaid Khan scored in the first session of play while on crossing over Ayan Khan, Shazab Shaikh, Raj Jadhav (2) scored for Valpoi FC unit.
