MAPUSA: St Sebastian SC registered a thumping 5-1 win over Laxmi Prasad SC in the GFA’s Division III League Bardez Zone match played at Moira ground, on Sunday.
Both the teams played almost on equal footing in the first session going into the dressing room locked in a goalless draw.
Just five minutes into the second session, Yuvraj Harijan opened the account, scoring with a neat placement 1-0. Avez Choudhari netted the second goal, 10 minutes later on entering the 18-yard box.
There was no looking back for St Sebastian colts with Anford Fernandes, Anthony Viegas and Daued Meldon adding their names to the scorers’ list.
Finally, in the added time, Malikrehan Sounor scored the consolation goal for Laxmi Prasad to make it 5-1.
In another match, United Ucassaim delivered an equally strong performance, defeating Ucassaim SC 4-1 at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
