VASCO: BITS Pilani and Cortalim Villagers & Social Welfare Association registered wins in their respective matches of the Goa Football Association Second Division League matches on Wednesday.
While BITS Pilani overpowered United Club of Bogmalo 4-0, the Cortalim side downed Chicalim Sports Club 2-1.
Playing at their fortress BITS dominated the match from the word go and scored goals at regular intervals.
Neel Bhandary excelled for the home team as he netted a brace while Khosla and Glen were the other goal scorers for BITS.
Bogmalo didn’t have much chance in the game to score.
At Chicalim Panchayat ground, Chicalim Sports Club were beaten 1-2 by Cortalim Villagers with all the three goals coming in the first session of the play.
Cortalim took the lead through Francis Tavares in the 15th minute who went on to double the tally in the 36th minute.
Chicalim SC managed to reduce the deficit in the 42nd minute through Edward Souza.
