MAPUSA: Black Arrow Veterans, Miramar, registered a 6-5 win via tie-breaker over Vasco Veterans in the 1st Morjim Veterans Football Cup, organised by Morjim Veterans, at Village Panchayat ground Morjim.
For Vasco Veterans, Francis Andrade drew the first blood in the 30th minute of the match, while in the dying minutes of the match Anthony Silveira found the equaliser for Black Arrow, Miramar.
In tie breaker all shots of Black Arrow Miramar were on target and one shot of Vasco Veterans was saved by the goalkeeper of Black Arrow.
Anthony Silveira of Black Arrow was adjudged as the man-of-the-match.
In the second match host Morjim Veterans were thrashed by Calangute Veterans 5-0.
Arjuna Awardee Bruno Coutinho scored a brace while Prashant and Robert scored a goal each. Morjim also conceded a self goal.
Bruno was adjudged as man-of-the-match.
