Bharat Petroleum, Kerala scored a facile 3-0 sets victory over DRDO,
invitational volleyball tournament at St Alex church court, Curtorim on
Tuesday night.
BP won 25-13, 25-10, 25-21 but the packed gathering went home
disappointed as DRDO failed to even put up a semblance of a fightback.
All eyes will now be riveted on the semi-finals which are expected to
provide superb fireworks. The first semi-final, tomorrow, in which ONGC
(Jalhandar) is pitted against Punjab Police is expected to be a
thriller given the fantastic form displayed by the teams, who have
players of caliber. The other semi-final will be between Bharat
Petroleum and Southern Railway on April 30.
