PANJIM: BPS Sports Club registered a thumping 3-0 win over Panjim TT Club Panthers to qualify in the Super 8, in the men’s team event in the third invitational table tennis championship organised by Miramar Sports Club, at Indoor stadium, Campal.
Anukram Jain exhibited his class, control and mastery over the game as he registered a facile win over Selvyn Godinho.
Rakshith Bargidad too had it easy over Noel Estibeiro, winning 3-0 (11-2, 11-4, 11-7).
In the doubles match, Rakshit Bargidad / Tejas Shevde bt Selvyn Godinho / Ashutosh Chari to complete a 3-0 win for their team.
In another League match, Team SH featuring young Goan paddlers Shantesh Mapsekar who is India number 2 rank in cadets and Rutuj Sonawane brightened their chances of making it into the Super 8 grade by defeating Morning Stars 3-0.
