MAPUSA: Brothers of Orda Boys got the better of Vaddy Boys 3-1 to make it into the semi-finals of the Silver Sands Candolim Inter-Ward football tournament, organised by United Boys of Camotim, played at Candolim ground, on Thursday.
The winners got into the scoring act in the early 7th minute when Merwyn set the ball on platter to Sachin who scored through a firm placement, 1-0.
Vaddy Boys did not wait long and levelled terms two minutes later through Sidhesh Naik who slotted in Sumit Toraskar’s cross, 1-1.
Brothers of Orda got back into the lead in the 12th minute when Feju Cardozo made his way into the Vaddy danger zone before scoring through a low grounder, 2-1.
Changing ends Brothers of Orda further inflated their lead through Devendra Pednekar who scored from close range, 3-1.
