MAPUSA: Brothers of Orda registered a win over United Boys of Camotim 7-6 via the tie-breaker to advance ahead in the Friends Circle Soccer Cup, at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro ground, on Wednesday.
In the first minute itself, Camotim’s Juze shot straight into the waiting hands of the Orda keeper Kane Barreto from close.
However it was Orda that surged ahead in the 9th minute when Joel Fernandes received a cross from Santan Fernandes who slammed the ball past the rival keeper Prakash to give his team the lead.
It did not take long for Camotim to level terms as Juze guided the ball into the goal off a cross from Priyesh.
On crossing over, Orda’s Devendra Pednekar once again put his team ahead as his long ranger the beat Camotim keeper make it 2-1.
In the 50th minute, Daniel Soares got hold of a cross from Nikhil and placed the ball past the Orda keeper to make it 2-2.
In the tie-breaker, the Orda Boys proved to be better shooters.
